Methodology for Change

Nosara para Todos does not only declare principles — it acts on them with a proven method. Our approach is grounded in three central premises that global evidence has confirmed about social change:

▸  Coalitions drive change: Change happens when groups of people unite around a common incentive and have sufficient collective power and capacity for action. We must continue strengthening these coalitions, adding people who bring contacts, knowledge, and active presence in the municipality.

▸  Structure builds trust: Having a clear process with attainable goals and defined timelines builds trust and a sense of collective power that helps get change started.

▸  Change is not linear: We must anticipate course corrections, based on learning what works in practice. We think like a sailboat: we use the available wind to move toward our destination, even when the path is not straight.
